Financy privacy policy

Last updated 24 September 2026. This policy covers Financy at financy.zewify.com. Zewify’s privacy policy covers everything else.

In short

  • Financy stores what you enter so it can show it back to you, and nothing about you is sold or used for advertising.
  • It runs on a server we operate, and handles its own sign-in rather than using an outside identity provider.
  • The assistant is optional. When you use it, your question and a summary of your data go to the AI provider you chose.
  • You can delete your account and its data yourself, at any time.

What Financy stores

  • Your account: your name, your email address, and your password as a secure one-way hash, which cannot be turned back into the password.
  • What you enter: bills, income, transfers, amounts and dates; your accounts and cards with their balances, limits and due days; your categories; and which payments you have marked done.
  • A history of changes to your items, so you can see on the Activity page what changed, when, and whether you or the assistant made the change.
  • Assistant settings, if you use it: the provider and model you chose, and your API key, stored encrypted.
  • Assistant conversations, so you can pick one up again later.
  • Feedback you send from Settings, with the email address it came from.
  • Sign-in sessions: when each session started, and the browser and IP address it came from, which is how a session is recognised and ended.

Financy uses all of this only to run the app for you: to show your money, work out balances and totals, answer the assistant, and deal with feedback. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind inside the app.

The assistant

The assistant uses a provider you pick (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Groq) and a key from your own account with them. When you send it a message, Financy sends that provider your message, the conversation so far, and a summary of your items, accounts and categories, so it can answer.

What happens to that data on the provider’s side is governed by their terms and privacy policy, not this one. These providers are based outside the Philippines, so using the assistant means your data is transferred abroad. If you would rather it were not, leave the assistant off; nothing else in Financy contacts them.

Your key is encrypted before it is stored and is never shown back in full. Removing it in Settings → Assistant deletes it.

Where it is kept

Financy’s database is on a server we operate in Singapore, rented from a hosting provider. Traffic to the app passes through a network provider that protects the site and delivers it quickly; it carries your requests but does not store your Financy data.

Everything between your browser and Financy is encrypted in transit. A backup of the database is taken every day and kept for fourteen days, on the same server.

Who can see it

Inside the app, your items, accounts and balances are visible only to you. The app checks every request against your account, so no one else’s account can reach them.

The people who run Financy can see, to support you and keep the service safe: your name and email address, when your account was created, whether you use the assistant, the titles of your assistant conversations (the start of your first message in each), and feedback you have sent. They can reset a password when you ask, and suspend an account that is abusing the service. The admin tools do not show your entries, and we do not look at them.

We never sell your information or share it with anyone, except the AI provider you choose as described above, the hosting and network providers that run the service, or where the law requires it.

Cookies

Financy sets one kind of cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in. There are no advertising, analytics or third-party cookies. The app also keeps a copy of pages you have visited in your browser, so they open without a connection; signing out clears it.

Deleting your data

In Settings → Danger zone, you can delete your account yourself. Your account, items, accounts, cards, categories, history, assistant settings and conversations are deleted immediately.

Two things outlast it for a short while or by design: the daily backups, which age out within fourteen days, and feedback you sent, which is kept with its email address so we can finish dealing with it. Ask us and we will delete that feedback too.

Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, you can ask to be told about, get a copy of, correct, or erase your personal information, object to how it is processed, and receive it in a portable form. Much of this you can do in the app yourself; for the rest, write to our data protection officer at support@zewify.com.

You can also complain to the National Privacy Commission.

Changes

If Financy starts storing or sharing something new, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
